PROBLEMS IN
THE INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM PART-2
Hello guys. Welcome
to the blog!!! If you have not read part-1 of this blog so please read that.
So, as I mentioned
in my previous blog; there are other problems too. The biggest problem is our
education system is more focused on theoretical knowledge than practical.
Due to this many students do not understand the concept of the subject; then to
get good marks they choose rote learning. Which causes an adverse impact on the
creativity of a child.
Infrastructure
is also creating hurdles while providing qualitative education. Students who
are living in cities; can afford to get admission to good private schools that have
access to computers, laboratories, etc can perform well in his/her academics;
than those who are living in villages. This creates educational disparity among
them. So, It is the responsibility of our system to provide a school with all
basic infrastructure in every village, tribal area, and hilly area.
Privatization
of Education led to the institutionalization of the system; this makes
education a business. Here I am not saying that the privatization of education
is not good; my point is just that education is a basic need and the
fundamental right of every child in this country and if someone drops from school
just because they cannot afford expenditure on education then privatization is
wrong.
The last
point is, Dr. Ambedkar once quote that, “Sanskrit should be our official
language”. Because traditional Indian sources like Vedas, Upanishads, Geeta,
etc have tremendous knowledge which needs to be known to every Indian because
it helps us to create a different identity than Western countries. When foreign
countries like the UK, Japan, etc can conduct academic programs on Sanskrit, Mahabharat,
etc then why cannot we..? It helps the student to understand the power of Ayurveda,
an ancient infrastructure that we can use today to Make a New India .
